Summary of a Psychological EvaluationAs assessment will start with a thorough review of clinical history, including psychosocial, developmental, and medical history. This requires 1 ½ hours or more, depending upon the complexity of the presenting problems.
Objective standardized testing is utilized for a comprehensive assessment. This generally involves 4-6 hours in the office for 1:1 face-to-face testing with Dr. Recor. In addition, Dr. Recor will spend an additional 4-6 hours after the testing to score and interpret the testing results, as well as compiling the formal report of evaluation.
The test results and recommendations will be reviewed with the adults and sometimes adolescents in a 2 hour appointment typically 2-3 weeks after the testing date. The report is released only after the relevant background has been reviewed for accuracy.
